Parents, Teachers & Friends of RSD

The PFTA {Parents, Friends, & Teachers Association} was recently formed at the RSD. Our main aim is to promote the school within the community and to build a close unity between parents and teachers where parents are made to feel welcome and encouraged to attend many of the events in the school calendar.

At our recent Scottish night we enjoyed the experience of learning a few new moves, courtesy of Mr McGuinness. By the end of the evening we had been well and truly put through our paces and found muscles that we never knew existed and are now all experts at dancing “The Dashing White Sergeant”!!!

We were kindly lent kilts from Mr Walter Cuddy which helped add to the Scottish flavour of the evening and many of the students who attended took great joy in dressing up in these and dancing the night away.
Thanks to all those who supported the Ceilidh and gave us a memorable evening. Also a big thankyou to Walter for the loan of the kilts and to Mr McGuinness who with his witty banter helped make the night such great fun.

Any further events will be posted on the web site so look out for them and come along.
