1 Closing Help

To close the Help option, simply click on the option used to open it.

Hyperlinks are set up in the RSD Website to enable you to access all the information and resources. To return to the main menu at any time, click on the link located at the top right of the screen.

3 Location Map

There is a map on the School Information section of the site. This location map is a link to google maps. For directions to RSD, simply select the option above the RSD pin.

4 School Calendar

The school calander can be found on the School Information Page. The calander can be viewed as an agenda by selecting the option on the top right - the agenda view will list the events in chronological order. There is a button on the top left that will return you to todays events.

5 Weather

The Weather Forecast can be found on the School Information Page. The Heading indicates the weather is for Armagh - this is the closest forecast to Dungannon. This information is taken from the BBC Website

KS3

In first year, pupils learn about the Bible; how it is split up as well as discussing topics including creationist and evolution theories and our role as keepers of the environment. How God shows his love through the life stories of Abraham and Moses and begin to talk about slavery and thus William Wilberforce and Martin Luther King.

In second year, pupils start the study of Palestine in the New Testament as well as Jesus’ life including parables and miracles and up until his death and Resurrection.

This study is continued in third year with the ascension and events of Pentecost as well as the work of the early church including Stephen, Peter and Paul. The Pupils also have an in depth study of St. Patrick and Martin Luther as well as discussing contemporary issues including poverty and Fair Trade..

GCSE:

In fourth and fifth year, R.E. pupils have the opportunity to build on the knowledge learnt at KS3 with further learning of the miracles and parables in the New Testament. Alongside this an in depth study of the Christian Church is completed which closes analysis of the Roman Catholic Church and the Baptist Church. This is accompanied by a trip to two of our local churches in Dungannon to enhance pupils’ learning. On top of the Christian Church and the life ministry of Jesus, pupils also have the opportunity to discuss and argue different viewpoints towards Christian morality including relevant issues such as respect for life, relationships, crime and punishment and social responsibility this is supported with a trip in fifth year to the Life Conference.

A-Level:

In sixth year, pupils have the chance to enhance their learning of the early church up until 325AD as well as the Acts of the Apostles, Galatians and I Corinthians
