Art and Design

Teachers: Mrs. Clingan (HoD), Miss Edgar

Facilities 
The Art and Design department have two fully equipped rooms, with an adjoining resources room, with kiln and full range of tools. There is also an adjacent room containing 10 computers, complete with art and design software, such as Photoshop, along with scanners and digital cameras

KS3
 Art is studied for three periods a week in Key Stage three and pupils have the opportunity to develop aesthetic, creative, imaginative, expressive, appreciative and technical skills. In the gallery you can see just some of the practical work which is carried out including “Textile People” and “Paper Mache Fish”

KS4
 At GCSE and A-Level pupils are able to continue to acquire knowledge and understanding of a range of topics including Visual enquiry, three dimensional construction, history and appreciation of art and design, textiles, graphics design and ceramics.
