Congratulations to Sixth Form pupils in the Royal School Dungannon who achieved excellent A Level results this summer, with an average UCAS points return per pupil equivalent to ABB grades. 

Avis Ip and Leo Lee led the way with 4 A* grades each while Jonathan Davidson, Lily Gallagher and Matthew Moan all scored 3 A* grades. Crystal Ho achieved 2 A* plus 2 A grades, while Scott Arthur, Louis Cavanagh and Daniel McClean all returned 2 A* grades and 1 A grade. 

Sam Dougherty, Zoe Gibson and Chloe McCollum each achieved 1 A* grade plus 2 A grades, while Jada Lai, Yu Hin Pang and Grace Wylie all returned 2 A*/A grades within their overall totals. Laura Birnie, Clara Finlay, Reuben Gibson, Catherine Richardson and Elena Wallace all scored 3 A grades.

Ten pupils achieved at least 2 A grades in their overall totals:  Benjamin Cooper, Vasile Coteata, Jayne Courtney, Joshua Curry, Jonathan Irwin, Chloe Johnston, Shannon Kelly-Troughton, Rachel McCann, Maddie McKinstry and Katie Walker. A further five pupils scored at least 1 A* grade in their overall results: Katie Croft, Reece Ferguson, Stacey Jardine, Eliza Richardson and Matthew Wallace.

Year 13 pupils received their AS Level results and there were many impressive performances here too, with Katie Ewing, Redison Lau, Aoife Logue, Pearl Ng, James Shaw and Bernice Wong all achieving 4 A grades. Lois Carson, Miriam Carson, Austen Lam, Molly McAlister, Victoria Watt and Zara White each scored at least 3 A grades in their overall totals. 

A further 13 pupils returned at least 2 A grades in their overall totals: Joanna Ashfield, Grace Beacom, Jayden Cheung, Beth Curry, Kristin Fenton, Rebecca Graham, Miranda Hazelton, Hannah Herron, Madison Lecky, Louise Marshall, Erin Mathieson, Hannah Moore and Hannah Spence.

The Headmaster, Dr David Burnett, was full of praise, describing the results as, “A reflection of the hard work pupils have put into their studies throughout their time at RSD. This is the first year that A Level and AS results have returned to the pre-pandemic levels of 2019 and it has taken real commitment and determination from RSD pupils to sustain their levels of achievement. Working with their dedicated teachers, our pupils have persevered and achieved so much. The partnership between school and home is a key factor and, as well as congratulating the pupils, I would like to pass on my thanks to teaching colleagues and parents for the support they have given and their role in the pupils’ success. We are thrilled that this great bunch of young people have done so well and opened up so many opportunities for their future.”
