Congratulations to Sixth Form pupils in the Royal School Dungannon who achieved excellent A Level results this summer, with an average UCAS points return per pupil equivalent to BBB grades. 

Hannah Siu led the way with 3 A* grades and Hannah Atkinson, Ashley Ip, Toby McClean, Gabrielle Mischook, Mufarowashe Pavolo, Anna Sloane and Grace Smyth all returned 2 A* grades and 1 A grade. Actin Au scored 1 A*, 2 A and 1 B grades while Oscar Gilpin, Philip Glasgow, Vihan Kerr, Matthew Mak, Jonathan McKenzie and Sophie Siu each achieved 1 A* grade plus 2 A grades.

Kristyn Archer, Emma Arthur, Panna Csonka, Lucy Davidson, Reuben Gallagher, Ross Hewitt, Angus Lee, Chloe McLean and Matthew Smith all scored 3 A grades.

India Aiken, Hannah Conway, James Gibson, Jayne McConnell and Victoria Sharkey each returned 1 A*, 1 A and 1 B grade, while Jayden Chan and Jamie Creaney both returned 2 A grades and 1 B grade.

Year 13 pupils received their AS Level results and there were many impressive performances here too, with Alice Doran, Rebecca Loane, Katherine Ryan and Darcy Weir all achieving 4 A grades.

Megan Chambers, Chloe Ewing, Charlie McClung, James McMahon and Kinson Yu each returned 3 A grades and 1 B grade, while Abby Cardwell, Poppy Hutchinson, Joseph Kane, Lily Black, Nisha Chung, Angus Lam, Erin May McCreedy, Abi Neill, Georgia Newall, Rebecca Robinson and Lydia Spence all scored 3 A grades in their overall totals. 

A further 11 pupils returned at least 2 A grades in their overall totals: Chloe Rainey, Mason Chow, Hannah Davidson, Jake Ferguson, Karla Millar, Ieva Venckute, Emily Watt, Harry Finlay, Alan Plawecki, Harvey Wright-Di-Maio and Darcie Knox.

The Headmaster, Dr David Burnett, was full of praise, describing the results as, “A reflection of the hard work so many pupils have put into their studies throughout their time at RSD. It takes real commitment and focus to achieve top grades at A Level and AS, and we are so proud of the ways in which RSD pupils have worked with their dedicated teachers and achieved so much. The partnership between school and home is a key factor and, as well as congratulating the pupils, I would like to pass on my thanks to teaching colleagues and parents for the support they have given and their role in the pupils’ success. We are thrilled that this great bunch of young people have done so well and opened so many opportunities for their future.”
