Congratulations to all of our Sixth Form pupils who achieved excellent A Level results this summer, with an average UCAS points return per pupil equivalent to ABB grades.

Jim Lam led the way with 3 A* grades plus 1 A grade and Bethany Benson, Catherine McCammon and Dylan McMullan all scored 3 A* grades. May Lau achieved 2 A* grades plus 1 A grade and 1 B grade, while Emma Henry, Niall Keys, Rachel Lewis, Jayne Liggett, Abigail Patterson and Ellie Willis all returned 2 A* grades and 1 A grade.

A further 12 pupils achieved at least 2 A grades in their overall totals: James Girvan, Tommy Hajdu, Matthew Hall, Daniel Irwin, Chloe McCaughey, Anson Ng, Lara Robinson, Zara Sloane, Abbie Wilkinson, Nathan Young, Jessica McClung and Harry McCoy.

Year 13 pupils received their AS Level results and there were many impressive performances here too, with 54% of all grades at grade A and over 80% of grades at A/B.

Annabel Davidson, Maya Davidson, Lemuel Mak, Rebekah Needham, Gabrielle Ng, Rebecca Verner, Stephen Verner and Hugo Wong all achieved 4 A grades.

A further 17 pupils returned at least 3 A grades in their overall totals: Amy Hall, Sarah Kelly, Alfie Lewis, Charlotte Meyer, Molly Reid, Katelyn Wylie, Siena Fenton, Chloe Acheson, Robyn Archer, Grace Boyle, Agnes Cheung, James McCammon, Sian Morris, Cassie Parr, Steven Scott, Alex Talbot and Maisy Mae Williamson.

The disruption caused by the pandemic was a major influence on everyone in school last academic year and the pupils met this challenge head on and worked with real commitment and determination. In difficult circumstances, they persevered and have achieved so much. The partnership between school and home is a key factor in allowing young people to thrive and learn and I would like to pass on my thanks to teaching colleagues and parents for the support they have given to pupils and their role in the pupils’ success. We are thrilled that this great bunch of young people have done so well and opened up so many opportunities for their future.”
