Continuing success for Norman Lau

Well done to badminton player, Norman Lau (Year 12), who has enjoyed another year of outstanding achievement in his sport.

In the Ulster Under 17 Open competition, he won the Singles and the Mixed Doubles, and he has collected a string of medals representing Ulster in various interprovincial and national-level competitions throughout Ireland and the UK.

Norman, who is a member of The Lisburn Racquets Club, has also collected a number of prestigious awards in recognition of his talent, including a Junior Sports Personality of the Year Award presented by Craigavon Sports Advisory Council, as well as a Development Award from the Mary Peters Trust.

In September, Norman will compete in the UK School Games in Sheffield.  We congratulate him on his achievements so far this year and wish him well as he prepares to compete in Sheffield.
