Congratulations to the RSD Show Jumping team, who travelled to Lusk Equestrian Centre, Lisburn, on Sunday 24th March. Emma-Jane Orr (Year 11) represented RSD in the individual 1m competition. Emma-Jane jumped a double clear round with a fast time that was unrivalled for the rest of the class, providing Emma-Jane with her first win of the day. The Open Team, consisting of Erin Mathieson (Year 8) , Emma-Jane Orr and Bethany Robinson-Smith (Year 11), was the only team in which all of its members jumped double clear rounds and finished on a combined score of 0 faults. The girls took 1st place in the competition, as well as a coveted qualifying position for the Schools’ Show Jumping Championship at Balmoral Show in May. There are only five qualifying positions for schools from Northern Ireland – this is an incredible achievement for the RSD team. We wish the girls all the best for the championship in May.
