Northern Ireland School Business Challenge

Yesterday two teams of Year 13 Business Studies pupils travelled to Belfast to compete in the Northern Ireland School Business Challenge. The pupils had to deliver a 30 minute presentation to a panel of 3 judges based on the Henderson group. Both teams delivered excellent presentations but were unfortunate not to win. Pupils got to enhance key skills of problem solving and working with others.

The pupils pictured (Katie Marshall, Eri Alabi, Sarah Frizelle and Jessica Jardine) made goose masks to publicise the Henderson Group ‘Gander’ app. The team of boys consisted of Timothy Davidson, Calum Dunne, Tom Patterson, Adam McNally and James Lamb.

Feedback from the judges was very positive. One of the judges from BDO, who watched the girls group, approached Miss Boyd and emphasised how impressed she was by the girls group. She commented on how lovely it was to see the girls working together and supporting each other during the presentation. This feedback reflects the positive ethos and working relationships developed amongst pupils here in RSD.
