Rebecca wins Soroptimist Public Speaking Competition

Four girls from RSD entered the annual Soroptimist Public Speaking Competition this year but, unfortunately due to restrictions, only three could go ahead to the regional heat at Ranfurly House on 11th November. Emma Curran (Year 12) presented her speech in school and has been awarded with a Soroptimist Certificate as a result. Sienna Fenton, Chloe Acheson and Rebecca Verner (all Year 13) competed in the local area competition. All of these girls put a lot of research and practice into their performances, competed at a very high standard and performed with excellence on the night. Rebecca Verner won the regional heat of the competition and will be going forward to represent RSD at the Northern Ireland Final in February 2022. Huge congratulations go to all three girls, and especially to Rebecca. We wish her well for the final next year!
