1st XV

The first 15 started the season strongly as many new 5th years were integrated into the squad, winning 38-17 with new players like Nathan Hamilton and James Gibson scoring. James Gibson also stepped up as kicker, converting 4. The squad worked towards their first Schools cup match where they lost 20-10 against Portadown College where 5th year Blake Redmond received man of the match. The team also had good wins against Grosvner and Omagh.

2nd XV

The Second 15 gained momentum towards the end of September with a convincing victory over Grosvner where they won 38-12 where 5th year Jack Evans converted 4 and lower sixth Max Patterson got Man of the match. They then remained undefeated throughout October with victories over Omagh, Dalriada and Portadown.

Medallion

The Medallion squad started the season losing the David Shrestha Shield to Friends school Lisburn finishing 32-0. The squad quickly bounced back with a hard fought win over Grosvenor 21-19 with Angus Lam and others scoring with Thomas Jenkins securing all 3 conversions. The boys dominated RSA despite a late flurry of trys from RSA making it seem a tight contest. This fixture really showed the progress the squad has made from the opening defeat.

Year 10/ U14 As

The year 10s have shown positive signs through the opening weeks of the season. They beat Friends by 2 points with a crucial try from Adam Nixon securing the victory as Joel Clarke converted. After a tough defeat to Sulivian they brushed aside RSA with a 14-0. Issac Neil touching down in the one sided victory. They finished off October by narrowly beating Enniskillen by 54-0 to RSD. Highlights include 7 conversions for Joel Clarke and Matas Slajus with big carries and a try.

Year 10/U14 Bs

The B team had a rocky start losing to Friends 36-26 with multiple players showing potential such as Eli Burke who ran the length of the pitch for a solo try. They then embarrassed rivals RSA with a 40-12 win to the well deserved RSD team. Despite missing fixtures the U14 Bs are continuing to improve by the week.

Year 9/U13 As

The squad has had a challenging start to the season and have yet to record a win but they are still making strong progress on the pitch.

Year 9/U13 Bs

The team started the season with a positive win over friends, where they scored 31 points and are continuing to improve.

Year 8/U12

The year 8s have fully embraced Rugby, many of which are playing for the first time under Mr Wilson and Mr Ritchie’s guidance.
