On Saturday 14th May, our Showjumping team was representing the school at Balmoral Show. The team consisted of Bethany Smith, Erin Mathieson, Emma Jane Orr and Lucy Orr (unfortunately Emma Jane had to withdraw from the competition before Saturday’s event).

This year, the competition involved 5 pre-qualified school teams from the Ulster Region (includes Cavan, Monaghan & Donegal) and the top 5 school teams from the Equestrian Inter-schools Ireland League. So to qualify in itself was an achievement, which the RSD team did by placing first at the first qualifier.

On Saturday, the girls finished in 3rd place with 3 faults (closely behind the first and second place winners). It was a very successful morning for the girls – well done everyone!
