On 30th March Spanish pupils from Y11-14 along with Mrs Stitt and Mrs McCormick headed to London for a Spanish-filled experience day! We arrived bright and early and made our way to the Tate Modern art gallery to see some Spanish artwork taking in the spectacular London highlights along the way. There was so much to see! We then went to Don Mesón Felipe, a local Spanish tapas restaurant for lunch. The waiters were Spanish natives so we got lots of practice in! Finally we headed to the Cervantes Theatre to watch a play entirely in Spanish, La Casa de Bernarda Alba which forms part of the A2 Spanish specification. This was a small, intimate theatre and it was amazing to see the play in real life! Then it was time for us to start making our journey home but not before we did some shopping in the airport and bought some strong coffee! We had lots of fun and arrived home tired but our trip was enjoyable and very educational!
