Spanish-flavoured fun for sixth-form pupils

On 25th November five Year 13 and three Year 14 pupils travelled to Belfast for an afternoon of Spanish flavoured fun. Our first stop was the Queen’s Film Theatre where we watched a collection of short Spanish films.  These ranged from sci-fi thrillers to those based on true stories.

Next we went to the Odyssey to sample some of the tapas on offer at the Spanish restaurant, La Tasca.  And to finish we simply had to try the desserts, with many of us choosing the Spanish style churros. Although this was an enjoyable treat, we were still working hard by ordering and talking to the staff in Spanish.  ¡Qué bien!

This was a great experience for us all and was a brilliant afternoon’s fun.  Our thanks must go to Mrs Stitt for organising the trip and to Miss Arbuthnot for driving us there.
