We received the following email on behalf of Stranmillis University College and wanted to give anyone who wishes the opportunity to respond to their research.
We are a research team from the Centre for Research in Educational Underachievement at Stranmillis University College, Belfast and we are keen to gain an insight into parents’ and their children’s experiences of home-schooling as a result of the current COVID-19 restrictions. All parents/carers whose children are normally in pre-school, primary, post-primary and/or special are eligible to complete this survey and to enable us to capture their views, we would be most grateful if you could forward the link to your parents via email or whatever way you normally connect with them.
We anticipate that the survey findings will provide important insights into the home-schooling experience from pre-school to post-primary throughout Northern Ireland and the data gathered will help inform the ongoing work of the Department of Education, the Education Authority, schools and voluntary sector organisations who are already working to support parents/carers in their home-schooling efforts.
The survey will be live from Wednesday 29th April to noon on Friday 8th May.
If you want more information about the survey please visit the webpage:
Thanking you in anticipation,
Dr Glenda Walsh, Dr Noel Purdy, Dr Jonathan Harris and Dr Jill Dunn
