Following the retirement of Mr Wheeler, our long-serving Bursar, we are delighted to welcome two new members of staff; Mrs Cheryl Kelly and Mr John Stewart. Mrs Cheryl Kelly is the new RSD Bursar and Mr John Stewart has filled the role of Facilities Manager.

Mrs Cheryl Kelly has been appointed as the new bursar. As a former RSD pupil and parent, she knows the school very well, and she has many years of accountancy experience as part of senior leadership teams in the business and the commercial world. In general, the Bursar role will be focused on the strategic leadership of school finances, major projects and oversight of the non-teaching staff.

Mr John Stewart joins RSD as our new Facilities Manager, a newly created role overseeing the RSD buildings and site, which will complement the Bursar’s role. Mr Stewart brings a wealth of experience in facilities management and the construction industry. The new Facilities Manager will be focused on day-to-day management of premises and resources, managing caretaking and grounds staff and supporting other ancillary staff, such as cleaning and kitchen staff.
