Year 11 Historians journey to Belgium

A group of pupils from RSD and St Patrick’s Academy recently travelled to Belgium to visit a number of sites as part of a joint SESP trip.

The group visited many landmarks including the Somme Battlefields, Ulster Tower and Thiepval Memorial. The next day took them to Langemark German military cemetery, Sanctuary Wood trenches, Tyne Cot cemetery and the Last Post ceremony at Menin Gate. Their last stop was Bruges!

The group all enjoyed a fantastic trip, they made some great connections and took home some lasting memories.
