Year 13 pupils in the Young Enterprise team ‘Aspire’ were at the trade fair at Rushmere shopping centre on Friday selling their well-being journal. In addition to this, our pupils had to prepare a 4 minute presentation and present to a panel of judges from Young Enterprise Northern Ireland. They also had to complete a series of interviews at their stall with judges in each of the criteria, on topics covering marketing, sales, finance and overall journey.
The pupils set up a stall of the highest quality, showing RSD’s journey in promoting positive mental health as well as showcasing their product. The team worked extremely hard and really did themselves and the school proud; a most enjoyable day.
Aspire achieved the ‘Innovative Product Award’ and ‘Runner Up Company’ at the event. Achieving the runner up company got them through to the NI Finals in April along with 7 other companies across Northern Ireland. They now have to do another presentation and interview with Invest NI and design a company report in an attempt to get through to the UK Finals in London. The final stage is European Finals in Paris. We wish them all the best!
