Year 13 Silver Award winners at the Award Ceremony in Craigavon Civic Centre

On Wednesday 19 February, ten Year 13 pupils who have completed their Duke of Edinburgh’s Silver Award were invited to Craigavon Civic Centre  for their Award Ceremony. The guest speaker was the Mayor of Craigavon Mark Baxter, a former pupil of RSD. It was a lovely evening and was a wonderful way to celebrate the achievement of the 14 pupils who had worked hard over two years to complete the award.

Mrs Hampton would like to thank the pupils for the time and effort and commitment that they put in to the Award and also the help of teachers both at RSD and St Patrick’s Academy who give of their time and energy to enable the programme to run smoothly. We are now gearing up for this year’s expedition season with 15 pupils form RSD doing Silver and 19 pupils doing Gold. We wish them every success in their endeavours.
