Many of you will be aware that The Royal School Dungannon and St Patrick’s Academy have been working together for many years with collaborative classes in Sixth Form along with many other joint projects including a literacy project for KS3 pupils, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, Art Exhibitions and History Projects. Many of these projects have been supported by the Shared Education Signature Project (SESP).
This year we would like to offer a series of joint Art classes for parents/guardians from both schools covering topics such as textiles, monoprinting, drawing, etc. These classes will run for five weeks commencing on Tuesday 8th November from 7.30pm – 9.00pm. They will be held in The Royal School this year. The classes will be led by Mrs Louise Shaw who is an experienced art teacher who has previously worked in RSD. All materials will be provided free of charge.
The classes are designed for absolute beginners who have never done anything like this before through to improvers. It is also a great way of meeting new people and to have a fun experience which could open the door to a great new hobby.
If you are interested in attending please contact either Mrs S McCarthy (HoD Art & Design, SPA) or Mrs M Clingan (HoD Art & Design, RSD) by Friday 28th October 2016. Places will be allocated on a first come basis.
