On Tuesday 8 September representatives from Young Enterprise Northern Ireland visited RSD and delivered the ‘Learn to Earn’ programme to Year 10 pupils.

This proved to be an engaging and thought-provoking day, challenging pupils to make the connection between education, training and employment. They were informed of how the options, decisions and choices they make whilst they are still at school directly influence their success in their future careers.

All pupils enjoyed the various activities, which included budgeting for a dream lifestyle, exploring their expectations, assessing the cost of living, identifying their skills and talents, and finally, setting goals for the future.

The event gave pupils an enlightening insight into the word of work and emphasised the importance of thinking about their futures now.
