On Thursday 20 March, Year 9 pupils took part in a Globalisation day in the South West College. The event was organised by the Dungannon & Cookstown Business Education Partnership (BEP) programme and delivered a number of interactive talks to local schools.

The day included information from the local South Tyrone Empowerment Programme (STEP) on their work in the local area, Careers advice from David Watterson representing Greiner Packaging and the story of Dominika McKillion a local migrant worker who now works as an English teacher in Drumglass High School.

The pupils thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the diversity within the local community and the range of programmes that are available to help promote integration and inclusion.
