For the last eleven years our Art Department has taken all Sixth Form Art pupils to Dublin for a day, to view art work and visit Art exhibitions. Every year we enjoy the opportunity to visit galleries such as IMMA, the Douglas Hyde gallery, the Royal Hibernian Academy, the National Gallery of Ireland and the Hugh Lane Gallery etc. Due to current restrictions we could not proceed with our annual visit this year, but IMMA got in touch recently to offer a very kind donation of their books and catalogues. Our Art Department was thrilled to receive such a thoughtful gift of so many fantastic books! They will be of such benefit to both staff and pupils within the Art Department. Christmas has come early! Thanks again to IMMA for this very kind gesture, we can’t wait to hopefully return again soon for our visit.
