Mr Chris Wright of Drop Inn Ministries

This time last year saw the Charities Committee collect a (then) record number of 180 shoe boxes throughout the school. This year’s outstanding contribution to the Drop Inn Ministries collection finished at an outstanding record beating 228 boxes collected for the Shoebox Appeal.

Our enthusiastic committee, led by Mrs Matthews and Mrs Stitt, were delighted to be able to hand over this year’s contribution to the annual Shoebox Appeal. This is aimed at helping those in need this Christmas. The Shoebox Appeal, now an RSD tradition, provides pupils of all ages with the opportunity to get involved with helping people who aren’t as fortunate as us.

On Friday 14th October, we were honoured to once again welcome back Mr Chris Wright to our Assembly to present him with the boxes. This handover marks the start of their long journey to Romania.
