Well done to the Debating Team who competed on Wednesday 4 February and made it through to the semi final stage of the NI School Debating Competition.

The quarter finals, held in Victoria College Belfast, were organised by the Belfast Buildings Preservation Trust.  Representing RSD were Sophie Steenson and Lucy Talbot (Year 13), who proposed the motion, ‘This house believes that those who can afford healthcare should pay’.  The girls debated skilfully against a strong opposition and came through as deserving winners.

We wish them well in their bid to secure a place in the final which will be held at Stormont.
