From Thursday 20th to Friday 21st October, pupils from Year 13 involved in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award scheme visited the Mourne Mountains for their first practice expedition.  This included camping out for one night and completing a 15km route the following day. From this experience, the pupils will now have a much better understanding of the practicalities of their real expedition which is scheduled to take place in June 2012.
