Hockey Review | September 2022

Senior hockey

The 1XI hockey squad started the season off on 7th September with a friendly against Wallace High School, winning 1:0. They then went into the tier A group stages of the Ulster super league facing a very tough group of Royal School Armagh, Banbridge Academy and Coleraine Grammar school. In September, after two very tough games the team unfortunately lost to Royal School Armagh with Zoe Gibson and Molly Watt scoring goals and Banbridge Academy with a goal from Hannah Herron.
The 2XI hockey team started their season with a 1:1 draw against Wallace High School but unfortunately lost to tough opponents Royal School Armagh and Banbridge Academy.
The 3XI faced a very strong Royal School Armagh team and unfortunately lost.
Lily Gallagher and Molly Watt were selected for the Ulster U18 training squad which is a fantastic achievement for the girls! Molly Watt was also selected for the U18 inter pro squad in their first game against Connacht where they won 6:0.

Junior Hockey

The junior teams played their first matches of the season playing Royal School Armagh and Banbridge academy Evie Girvan was selected for the Ulster U16 training squad and also played in their first U16 inter pro game against Connacht where they won 5:0. Congratulations Evie!
