On Monday 30 November the Navan Centre’s Living History performers visited RSD to present workshops on the Normans for Year 8 pupils, and World War I for our Year 10s. Year 8 pupils were introduced to a range of medieval weaponry by two Norman knights and engaged in a group debate on the contenders to the English throne in 1066. The Year 10s were able to get their hands on some items associated with trench warfare, to discuss the causes of the war and to practice their salutes.
