On Wednesday 16th February, The Royal School Dungannon 1st XI hockey squad travelled to Royal and Prior to play the Quarter-final of the Schools Plate competition.

In the first half, RSD possession and pressure paid off and at half time the team was 1-0 up, thanks to a goal from Amy McMullan. In the second half Royal and Prior came back strongly to force an equalising goal. But great determination was shown by the RSD girls in the final 10 minutes of the game, when they grabbed 4 more goals courtesy of Stacey Lee, Ruth Hall and Karen Elliott, who netted twice.

The RSD team has had a great season, and so far the girls have lost only 3 matches. Wins have come over Cookstown High School, Victoria College, Omagh Academy and Portadown College.

Team: Kerry Jones, Rebecca Edwards, Laura Saygi, Emma Salley, Georgina Mulligan, Christine Kelly, Karen Elliott, Jane McClements, Amy McMullan, Stacey Lee (c), Dana Bettany, Jayne Patterson, Caitlin Bain, Kaitlyn Tate and Ruth Hall.
