On Wednesday 3rd November all pupils in Year 13 and 14 attended the PSNI’s Road Safe Roadshow, hosted by Cool FM’s Pete Snodden. Our pupils travelled to Dungannon Leisure Centre to listen to an emotive, hard-hitting presentation of how a real life car accident affected those involved, in order to reinforce the message often broadcasted by the PSNI and their road safety partners, for young people to stay safe on the roads. The dangers of using your phone, speeding or being under the influence while driving were highlighted through a series of poignant, personal accounts of the devastation caused by making poor decisions when driving. Following the presentation there was an outdoor demonstration of an overturned vehicle, which provided a graphic reminder for students of the need for road-safety awareness.
