U13 Hockey Girls Win Mid-Ulster League

Congratulations to the U13 Hockey girls for becoming joint winners of the Mid-Ulster League, recently. Their first game was a very competitive match against Lurgan JHS, in which the girls lost 3-1. Despite this setback, they bounced back with a 3-2 win over RS Armagh and an impressive 1-0 victory over a strong Killicomaine JHS side.

As an indication of how much the team had improved over the year, in their second meeting with Clounagh JHS RSD ran out overwhelming 14:0 victors. In their final league match, the girls posted another impressive result by beating Banbridge Academy 1:0. Their overall results meant that RSD finished in joint top spot, despite having a vastly superior goal difference to the other joint winners. This was a great achievement for the team, given the excellent standard of hockey in the Mid-Ulster area.
