Led by this year’s LVI, the debating society organised the first interhouse debating competition at RSD, in which junior, intermediate, and senior pupils were given the opportunity to represent their house against their peers. The debates were close, with Bullingbrook only just achieving first place ahead of Nicholson.
Nicholson’s junior representatives won both their matches, with Mountjoy and Bullingbrook both achieving second place. Bullingbrook did, however, win all four of their intermediate and senior house matches, which meant they won five of their six matches. Nicholson came a very close second overall, Mountjoy third, and Beresford fourth. All house debaters are to be commended for their effort, enthusiasm and contribution.
