On 27th of October a group of ten of RSD’s senior boys set off on a trip to Lucknow, India with the organisation Operation Mobilisation and the Vineyard Church Dungannon. During the trip, the boys assisted with underprivileged children in primary schools, as well as venturing into the small towns and villages in the area to provide aid to poverty stricken families.
The boys successfully held bun sales during break and lunch times in school prior to their departure to raise money for their trip and also to enable them to gather the necessary funds to provide additional help whilst in India.
On returning after ten days of hard work the boys feel have greatly benefited from their experiences. They feel that the trip has had an impact on how they view their own lifestyles and are already planning to return to Lucknow in the near future.
