“I have always wanted to be a Paramedic and I decided to apply to The University of Northampton to study Paramedic Science. It is in the top 10 universities for Paramedic Science and has excellent ratings for student satisfaction and employment. There are also great facilities like the ambulance simulator and mannequins, and I was able to see how these worked during my visit. I went to the university in December to attend an interview. The day consisted of an introduction to the course, a tour of the campus, group activities and an individual interview. This gave me the opportunity to see the university, meet other applicants, talk to the teaching staff and also speak to two current students to ask questions about the course and life at the university. We were made aware that the course is competitive and there are only 25 places, however this is another thing I like about the university as I think I would be able to get more help and support when there is a smaller class. It was also good to be able to see the town and area around the university, and how I would travel to it if I choose to go. I enjoyed the visit and everyone I met and spoke to were very friendly and welcoming. Since my interview I have received a conditional offer.”
